Recent updates say that United Airlines said that they are having a plan to start nearly 50 domestic and around 23 International flights and reach 40% of the schedule next month as compared with October last year. Therefore, United airlines have an increased plan to fly 34% of its schedule in the month of September. However, the Chicago based flight said that they will add a limited capacity to the schedule just because the pandemic continues to depress travel demand.
United’s vice president of Domestic Network Planning says something in a statement, he says that we continue to data-driven and realistic in approach to rebuilding the network of ours. Furthermore, he says that October is a very slow month of travel that’s why we are scheduling each and everything properly and this just to reflect seasonal changes in customer demand while resuming the service. Moreover, we are planning to add capacity on routes where we are seeing increased customer demand for travel.

Airlines Of Usa To Increase October Flights To 40% Of Last Year’s Schedule
Probing further, the airlines said that they are going to add more flights just to meet the traveler’s demand. Domestically, USA plans to fly 46% of its full schedule in October, up from 38% schedules domestically this month. These new schedules for traveling have been made by the USA just because of the growth in leisure travel demand. On Wednesday only, United Company announced that they are making plans to lay off around 1600 employees. United company says that despite cutting cost maneuvers, they were being forced to cut down the jobs.
The 16,370 personnel’s cut include:
- 2,260 in airport operations;
- 320 in catering operations;
- 430 in contact centers;
- 2,850 in-flight operations;
- 6,920 in inflight services;
- 1,400 in management and other administration positions;
- 180 in network operations center;
- 2,010 in technical operations. These are the personnel who were already told about their job cut off.
