The recently launched iOS 14 is having one of the biggest feature picture-in-picture features. This is a feature that allows you to watch the video in a small window when you are doing some other work on your Apple mobile. This is one of the handiest features and will help you in watching the video when you are chatting with friends or doing some other work. But unfortunately, it is seen that YouTube has done something to stop this feature down. In simple words, people will not able to have this feature until and unless they pay for Premium services. Ergo, YouTube has blocked down this feature till the time you convert your iPhone YouTube to premium.
See for yourself. Pull a video and make it on full screen on YouTube and after that tap to playback control you should see a picture-in-picture icon in the top-left corner of your screen. Tap that option and video you briefly go into its own window before returning to its usual spot on YouTube’s site. Therefore, when you will try going back home you will see this picture-in-picture mode before disappearing. Hence, this is one of the most wonderful features for people using iOS.

Youtube Website Blocks The Ios 14 Picture-In-Picture Feature Unless You Pay
Interestingly, MacRumors observed this feature can be there in use if you are embedded in watching the videos through the website. But if you have a premium that this feature will work unexpectedly. It will not function properly if you are a free user. The picture-in-Picture mode works with YouTube videos in Safari when you are using an iPad. Using YouTube on the iPad will help you enjoy this feature regardless of whether you are a free user or a premium one.
However, it is unclear if this is a bug or if YouTube removed it intentionally.
